We have a great pleasure to invite all BA and MA students to the 1st StuKAn Poznań conference. StuKAn Poznań conference, which will take place on 30 September – 2 October 2016, is an interdisciplinary student conference covering a variety of topics encompassed by English studies (linguistics, literary studies, translation, history, sociology, political studies, cultural studies, and other). The conference will constitute a friendly and inspiring atmosphere for academic discussions and exchange of ideas. StuKAn Poznań conference provides its participants with an opportunity to discuss their research done both for their BA or MA degrees, and independently from them, enabling their development as young scholars.
The topic of the conference is “Change, evolution, innovation”. We invite submissions in literature, culture and linguistics.
The language of the conference is English.

Who can take part in the conference?
BA and MA students up to one year after graduation.
Presentations
Presentation abstracts of 250 words together with a short information about the speaker (name, year of study, specialisation, affiliation and your research interests) should be submitted by 30th April 2016 via e-mail (stukan@wa.amu.edu.pl). The participants will receive information about acceptance of their presentations by 9th May.
However, if you send your presentation till 29th May, the scientific committee will receive it for review!
Presentations are planned for max. 20 minutes, and will be followed by a brief discussion of 10 minutes.
Conference fee
WA students free
Other participants 85 PLN
The full fee includes the cost of all tea/coffee breaks as well as the dinner during the conference, and conference materials. WA students will have to pay additionally for the dinner. The fee does not include accommodation costs.
The number of bank account for fee transfer will be given soon. We also accept payments in cash at the reception desk during the first day of the conference (we need to be informed about it in advance).
Post-conference publication
We are planning to issue a publication of selected papers in two versions (online/hard copy).
